|Abstrak: The development oflnformation and Communication Technology (!CT) has a very broad impact on international trade. With the existence of !CT, trade costs are expected to be reduced. This study aims to investigate the impact of !CT on Indonesia’s bilateral trade in total and also the impact on 3 different trade groups of goods, namely capital goods, intermediate goods and consumer goods. In addition, this study attempts to analyze Indonesia’s comparative advantage in 3 groups of goods and break down the growth of Indonesia’s exports into price effect and quantity effect. For empirical analysis, this study uses gravity model (Tinbergen, I 962) as a reference model with panel data from bilateral trade between Indonesia and 36 countries from 2000 to 2017. The results obtained are JCT proxies (mobile-cellular subscriptions, fixed-broadband subscriptions, and number of internet usage) have positive and significant impact on and consistently affect Indonesia’s bilateral trade in total and the 3 trade groups of goods. In addition, Indonesia has a comparative advantage in consumer goods and intermediate goods based on revealed comparative advantage method, and Indonesia’s exports are still dominated by price effect compared to the quantity effect.|
