Undergraduate Program in Management

The Management Undergraduate Study Program, as part of the Management Department, Faculty of Economics, University of Indonesia, was established in 1951*. This program has around 800 active students every year. The acceptance rate of S1 Management students is approximately two percent.

The Management S1 Study Program received accreditation with an A (very good) predicate from BAN-PT** on June 3, 2021, valid until 2026. The total score obtained was 374 out of 400 maximum scores. This score increased by 3 points compared to the previous accreditation score, predicate A (very good) with a total score of 371.*** In addition, the study program also received the status of AUN Assessment Exceeding the AUN-QA standards which is also valid until 2023****.

CONCENTRATION

For 2019 and previous students, the curriculum still refers to the 2016 curriculum which is based on the Rector’s Decree No. 1445 / SK / R / UI / 2016, where there are four specializations offered for undergraduate management students, with the following details:

  • Financial ManagementSuitable for students interested in positions dealing with market analysis, cash flow and investment, budgeting and capital markets.
  • Marketing ManagementSuitable for students interested in positions in marketing research, advertising and promotion, brand planning, sales and distribution and as a marketing consultant.
  • Human Resources and Organizational ManagementSuitable for students who are interested in holding positions responsible for recruitment and selection arrangements, training and development, career paths and career development, union relations and as HR consultants.
  • Operations ManagementSuitable for students who are interested in holding positions responsible for supply chain, project management, production processes, quality assurance as well as operations management consultants.

Students are also allowed to take the general route by not choosing one of the four specializations mentioned above.

In 2020, the Management S1 Study Program will start implementing the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) curriculum for 2020 students in accordance with Permendikbud Number 3 of 2020, concerning the National Standards for Higher Education. Students are given flexibility whether they want to take elective courses of specialization or other free courses, both within the study program and outside the Bachelor of Management study program.

DURATION OF STUDY

The 2016 and 2020 curriculum targets students to normally complete lectures by taking a minimum of 144 credits within 4 years or 8 semesters.

CURRICULUM

To be able to pass the S1 Management program, students who follow the 2016 curriculum are required to complete a minimum of 144 credits as a graduation requirement, which consists of 112 credits of compulsory subjects, 6 credits of final assignments, and 26 credits of elective courses, namely 24 credits of electives of specialization, and 2 credits of Free Choice courses across study programs or faculties.

For students who follow the 2020 curriculum (class of 2020 and beyond), they are required to complete a minimum of 144 credits as a graduation requirement consisting of 110 credits of mandatory courses, 6 credits of final assignments, and 34 credits of elective courses. Students also have the option to be able to take credits outside of higher education for a maximum of 2 semesters or the equivalent of 40 credits and can take credits in different study programs at the same university for 1 semester or the equivalent of 20 credits.

With the vision and mission, of the S1 Regular Management Study Program trying to create graduates with the profile: Bachelor of Economics who are able to carry out management processes on the first line in companies/organizations or professions in the field of Management by utilizing information technology who have an entrepreneurial spirit, able to work together and apply values universal ethics to improve the competitiveness of the nation in the international world so as to improve the quality of life of the community.
