MASTER PROGRAM IN Economic Planning and Development Policy

The MPKP Study Program is an applied Masters’s Degree Study Program and a professional path under the Department of Economics, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Indonesia. The National Accreditation Board for Higher Education awarded the MPKP-FEUI study program A predicate (SK Number 2606/SK/BAN-PT/Akred/M/IX/2018 dated September 18, 2022).

MPKP offers educational programs in applied economics and public policy that are determined to equip students with the latest economic theories, armed with theoretical foundations in economics, research techniques, mastery of data analysis, quantitative and qualitative research techniques, scientific writing. So graduates can make plans and recommend economic development policies with social and environmental aspects.

To become a reputable learning center for economic planning and development policy at the national level and in Asia to contribute to Indonesia’s development.

Mission

Contribute to the development of the application of economic theory in development policy planning and produce an excellent master of economics in development planning and policy-making who has a social responsibility and can face changes in the global environment.

GRADUATE PROFILE PURPOSE

  1. Develop students’ ability to carry out economic planning and policy-making based on evidence-based practice so that they are following the social and global context
  2. Develop a curriculum that aligns with the needs of leaders in the public sector and the need for understanding economic planning and policy in the private sector
  3. Improving research culture and academic atmosphere among lecturers and students
  4. Realizing professionalism and good governance in the management of study programs to become a reputable study programs at the national and Asian levels

GRADUATES PROFILE

Master of Economics who can predict and recommend resolving various public problems in the economic field with social and environmental aspects.

Curriculum

  • The curriculum was designed to produce main competency as policy analyst with capability to evaluate or formulate policy in industrial revolution 4.0
  • Students may have a Student Exchange for one semester with credit transfer of 9 SKS.
  • This program offers students a chance to take MITX Micromasters Online Course Program held by Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) with credit acknowledgement up to 15 SKS.
  • The study has a duration of 3 semesters for Regular Class/Morning Class and 4 semesters for Special Class/Evening Class.
