Two Students of FEB UI International Program Won Runner Up in The University of Melbourne BCom Case Competition 2019

Two students of UI International Program of Faculty of Economics and Business achieved 2nd Place for the BCom Case Competition 2019, the largest and most prestigious case competition at University of Melbourne. They are Danzel Aryo Soerjohadi (Accounting 2016) and Marvela Ester Kurniawan (Accounting 2017).

These two students are currently studying in University of Melbourne, a partner university of KKI FEB UI (Kelas Khusus Internasional Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Universitas Indonesia), as part of their double-degree program offered by KKI FEB UI.

They joined the competition with another two Indonesian students, namely Karel Martinus and Jessica Yan Setiawan, who are taking actuarial major in University of Melbourne.

BCom Case Competition is an annual case competition held by University of Melbourne that is opened for theirCommerce Undergraduate Students. This year, there were106 teams and over 420 students register. Among those submission, 15 teams were selected to proceed to the preliminary round, and finally top 3 were chosen to enter the final round that was held on 26 August 2019. Moreover, this event was supported by Strategic Protect Partners, UBS, Deloitte, Procter & Gamble, in which the top 3 winners were given awards by Professor Paul Jensen, who is Deputy Dean of Faculty of Business and Economics of University of Melbourne. This campus based competition is aimed to provide students the opportunity to participate and develop case competition skills, test their business case solving skills, receive training and network with corporate sponsors, as well as get hands-on experience as a management consultant.
