DEPOK – On February 21st 2019, we welcomed three entrepreneurs to give speech in UI. The topic was one part of lecture session within the subject of: Introduction to Information Technology. The first entrepreneur is Vince Gowan who is the Executive Vice Chairman – Secretary General of Indonesian Research & Development International. The second entrepreneur is Mike Irvan who is the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Scientist Officer of Skipjack Corporation.

The third entrepreneur is Anish Daryani who is the President Director of M&CSAATCHI. The event was welcomed by Dony Abdul Chalid, Ph.D., as Department Head of Management and moderated by Rizqiah Insanita, M.M., as a lecturer for Introduction of Information and Technology course at FEB UI.

In the beginning, Mr. Vince Gowan gave speech about the general view of Indonesian economy and the vision and action of how Indonesia is able to develop more Unicorns. In his opinion, Indonesia possesses several good traits for Unicorns to develop such as the steady growth of e-commerce, the huge population of internet users and so on. Therefore, Indonesia should make plans and take advantage of these gifts and develop more Unicorns.

Next, Mr. Mike Irvan talked about the new internet, which might replace the internet that we are using recently in the near future. In his perspective, the current internet system is under the risk of data overloading and it might collapse in the near future. Therefore, a brand-new internet system which is currently developing by his company is prepared to prevent the collapse of current internet. (Des)
