Doctoral Program In Management

The Management Studies Postgraduate Programme (also known as PPIM) administers a Doctoral Program in Management. The Doctoral Program in Management consists of three concentrations: (1) Finance and Banking, (2) Marketing, and (3) Strategic Management. PPIM arranges the program’s curriculum so that its graduates are able to bring forth significant contributions in the development in the study of management through research and international scientific publications. International publications that have been produced by the Doctoral Program in Management have been placed in various international journals which are reputable in their fields. The graduates of the aforementioned doctoral program have contributed and become leaders in various fields, albeit academics, practitioners, entrepreneurs, or policy makers. PPIM is also pioneering a joint-degree Doctoral Program with overseas partner institutions, such as the University of Western Australia.

The Doctoral Program in Management has an Accreditation of A in accordance with No. SK BANPT : 1774/SK/BAN-PT/Akred/D/V/2019 (27-Mei-2019 s.d 27-Mei-2024).

Becoming a Doctoral Study Program that contributes to management and business science through teaching and research that is leading in Indonesia and internationally recognized.

Mission

  1. Develop management and business science teaching that can be applied both for scientific development purposes and for practical purposes, especially in the era of the digital economy.
  2. Carry out research and produce scientific works of international standard and contribute to the development of management and business science, especially in the era of the digital economy.
  3. Produce graduates who are committed to maintaining academic integrity and honesty, as well as making a positive contribution to society.

GRADUATES PROFILE OBJECTIVES

The objective of PPIM’s education program is to create graduates with the following characteristics:

  1. Carry out teaching activities that will result in graduates who are able to evaluate management issues by selecting the appropriate theories and methods, either for practical reasons or for study advancements.
  2. Prepare a high-quality environment and infrastructure to support lecturers’ and students’ research.
  3. Cooperate with various scholarly associates, institutions, and management studies experts, to improve lecturers’ and students’ scientific paper qualities.
  4. Prepare students so that they may become graduates who are committed to upholding integrity and academic honesty, while positively contributing to society.

GRADUATES PROFILE

Doctors of Management Studies who are able to formulate management problems; using the current theories and empirical methods in a comprehensive and integrated way; lead research activities through inter, multi, and transdiscipline approaches; and produce creative, original, tested works by upholding academic honesty and integrity, while receiving national and international acclaim.

All doctoral classes are held in the Postgraduate FEB UI Building, Depok. Matriculation is required 1 semester before proceeding to Semester 1. The design of the doctoral program is 6 semesters excluding the Matriculation.
