BALI (8/11/2018) – International Conference on Business and Management Research (ICBMR) is a respected international conference which servesas a forum for research dissemination and scientific sharing for academics, researchers and students in the fields of Business and Management and in the field of Economics. This International Conference is held annually by the Management Research Center (MRC) under the Management Department of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Indonesia.

The 12th International Conference on Business and Management Research (ICBMR) discuss technology changes to the industry called Industry 4.0. In the opening speech of the conference of the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Indonesia Prof. Ari Kuncoro, Ph.D emphasizes that researchers continue to open up new opportunities, work together and explore in research because currently economic competition is caused by technological change and innovation. This change greatly affects the regional, national and regional economies.

“ICBMR, which has been carried out annually for a decade by Department of Management FEB UI, is therefore conducted once again this year as a forum that serves academicians both from Indonesia and overseas universities to deliver various research results, covering finance and accounting, economics, operations, marketing, human resource management, and strategic management. This international conference is also the best place for academicians to establish a global network that allows them sharing with those having the same research interest and to proceed a further research collaboration,” said Prof. Ari Kuncoro, Ph.D

Around more than 100 participants attended this conference from various universities and various countries, both as presenters, as observers. According to the Organizing Committee Sigit S. Wibowo, Ph.D., this conference the participants presented with keynote speakers who are very experienced in the field of digital banking and economic regulation, namely Mr. Sukarela Batunanggar from the Financial Services Authority. On the second day, Prof. WONG Poh Kam from the National University of Singapore who has expertise in the field of entrepreneurship and innovation strategies.

“We have received 205 papers, and through double-blind reviews, 91 papers are scheduled to be presented in these two days of conference. The papers are from different business and management fields: finance, Islamic finance, marketing, human resources management, general/strategic management, operations management, economics, and accounting. All presented papers will be published in the conference proceedings or in our supporting journals,” said Sigit S. Wibowo, Ph.D. as a Organizing Committee.

The ICBMR Scientific Committee chaired by Dr. Zäafri Ananto Husodo publish the results of various papers presented in parallel session at november 7-8th 2018. Supporting journals for ICBMR 2018 such as: Asian Academy of Management Journal of Accounting & Finance, Asian Academy of Management Journal, European Journal of International Management, International Journal of Emerging Markets, International Journal of Economics & Management, International Journal of Business & Society, Southeast Asian Management Journal (SEAM), Indonesian Capital Market Review (ICMR) and ASEAN Marketing Journal (AMJ). While the Conference Proceedings will be published by Atlantis Press. At the end of the conference, the conference organiser gave awards to 3 (three) best papers.

The First category from finance the best paper is “Financial Inclusion, Banking Stability, and Digital Technology in ASEAN” by Raisha Azzahra and Viverita. The second category from management, the best paper is “The Influence Of Resource Complementary, Technology Competence and Supply Chain Risk Criteria on Supply Chain Collaboration” by Hally Hanafiah, Prijono Tjiptoherijanto, Anton Wachidin Widjadja, Setyo Hari Wijanto.Third category from marketing, the best paper is “Perceptions of Technical and Social Presence Toward Customers Trust and Value : Click and Brick Versus Pure- Click Retailers” by Joshua Jeffery and Adrian Achyar.
